For this reason Pei Li Pharmaceutical hires a team of experienced full time researchers and renowned experts and consultants from academia. Our R&D team has collaborated with major medical centers to perform clinical testing for new drugs and has an allocated annual budget of no less than 6% of the total company revenue. The universities and research organizations that have entered into cooperative or technological exchange agreements with Pei Li Pharmaceutical include: China Medical University, Nanjing Pharmaceutical University (now known as China Pharmaceutical University), Jiangsu Provincial Institute of Materia Medica, Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University, Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Pharmaceutical Industry Technology and Development Center, Institute of Nuclear Energy Research. At present, the core research subject for Pei Li Pharmaceutical has been the development of new slow-release formulations and generic preparations of hormone drugs and chronic disease medicines.
The present goal of the company's research efforts is to obtain formulations and manufacturing patents, and the company has already acquired market approval for roughly 100 types of drugs including generic drugs that have undergone BA/BE (bioavailability/bioequivalence) studies and new drugs that have passed human clinical trials.
